ESP EX-400 Review

Price Bought

$600 (US)

Sound Quality

Good sound quality, very bright sound when not plugged in. A little fuzzy through my amp but its most likely just my amp, its got active EMGs (60/81) so if you have a nice amp there's no sound problems.

Build Quality

Put together good, solid feel, and very light. I thought it would be heavier before I lifted it. Stays in tune fairly well.

Defects Upon Purchase

The head nut had a spot with glue on it, but it has no effect on the sound - its not even very noticeable.

Additional Comments

It's great for rhythm guitar, but not as good for lead. I am getting another guitar for lead, but I'm not selling this one simply because it is great for jamming, has a heavy sound, and feels very solid... an overall great guitar.
