You have to know what you're getting with this. It's the pedal Kurt Cobain used all over Nevermind for his distortion. It offers harsh, unashamed distortion as opposed to sweet overdrive, and it delivers. That said, the flexibility offered by just the three dials is enormous.

If you're really serious about your pedals, Google "Robert Keeley". He does mods on various pedals, including this one. I have every intention of purchasing his DS-1 mod.
