Use Guitar Pro For Practice

"Guitar Pro" is a guitar tablature software you can use to write and listen to tabs.

What people don't realize is that it is also a great software to use to practice with! You can do the following to do this:

1. Download the Guitar Pro tab for the song you want to learn.
2. Mute the guitar track.
3. Slow down the song to 50% of the speed.
4. Start the playback of the song and play the guitar part.

You should do this at a slower rate to start with. For example if you use this technique to learn new solos, you can first play it at 50% of the speed. Once you have started to gain confidence you can gradually increase the speed until you can play it at the real speed.

Another advantage to this is that it allows you to practice your timing as well. Playing at a certain tempo by yourself is easy, but playing at a certain tempo in time with other instruments can be difficult at first.
