Customer Rating: Summary: May cause stains? Comment: The Stagg SG-A108BK A-frame guitar stand is simple to use and very functional. It probably works best with standard shaped guitar bodies, like the Stratocaster and Les Paul. Ideally, for proper support, the center of gravity should be low, with the body of the guitar in line with the apex point of the stand. The support arms are not adjustable, so the stand may not work well for some unusual or asymmetrical shaped instruments.
The stand is very well constructed. The support arms are welded to the frame, with ample sponge padding for protection. Over time, the padding may deteriorate, but aside from that, the frame is rock solid, and pretty close to indestructible, though it could do with a bit more padding at the apex point. With an attractive low profile, and reasonable price, it is an excellent choice for use with many electric and acoustic guitars, however there is a potential issue concerning this product you should be aware of.
There is a warning sticker on the stand that reads "The pigment in tubing material may migrate into instruments finished with nitrocellulose lacquer. Any questions concerning finishes should be addressed to the instruments manufacturer". All parts are either black or have a black finish. It is unclear whether the potential problem applies to the black paint, the black sponge material, or any of the miscellaneous black plastic or rubber parts. Nitrocellulose lacquer is apparently very commonly used in the finishing of guitars, but there is no information regarding how often this problem may have occurred.

The price was great, they were easy to set up and arrived quickly. Perfect transaction that saved me from trying to make a custom mini-stand in service of my wife's Guitar Hero fetish!
