Special Features: The tone of tube amplification lies in the mix of rich harmonics that extend far beyond the range of human hearing (20 kHz). Because the ZOOM G1 uses 96 kHz sampling, it provides a flat frequency response from 20 Hz up to an amazing 40 kHz. This allows for an accurate model of the delicate harmonic structure of the distortion produced by a tube amp. The dynamic range is also excellent, thanks to 24-bit A/D/A conversion. Summary: A great effects pedal, especially for the price!
Comment: I ordered this pedal after reading some positive reviews for it, and it more than lives up to the press! For a guy like me, who's a musician purely by hobby, this is a perfect investment because the price is reasonable, but the unit performs exceptionally well. It has a nice selection of effects, is programmable, and even has a built-in drum machine. I recommend this to anyone who wants to add some crunch to their playing without spending a small fortune.

Summary: No electric guitar set up should be without one!
Comment: If you have an electric guitar or are getting one, get this to go with it! This is the best $60 I have ever spent! You can make your guitar sound like just about any out there, get that heavy Metallica sound with enough distortion to max out any amp, to clean light blues if you want. Plus the effects, my god the effects, any sort of reverb you want, weird little effects, endless possiblities, you'll spend hours getting different sounds.

Also, this little device has a headphone output, so you don't really need an amp with it at all! Speaking of which, all the effects it has built in, you could spend tons of dough on a big expensive amp that does a fraction of what this does.

Not to mention it has a built in drum machine, and tuner! Add to that it's a very sturdy sleek looking device, I can't see how anyone makes money on it, unbeatable value. You can create ways for your guitar to sound and store them, using the large buttons to select your different preset modes for on-the-fly playing at a live show.

I actually bought this not knowing about the G1x for $20 more, which actually adds a pedal for volume, wah effects, and apparently higher sound quality. Either way, you can't go wrong!
