Customer Rating: Summary: Great capo but only for curved fretboards Comment: G7 capos are great, I have a regular model for my Martin 6-string guitar. But this 12-string model has a curved profile, and does not work for an absolutely flat fingerboard like is on my 1952 Guild 12-string. Too bad, because the capo metal is flat, but the hard rubber has a strong curve. I thought about filing the rubber down, but if it still did not work, and then I couldn't return it.
Customer Rating: Summary: You Get What You Pay For (Sometimes!) Comment: This new type and design of capos, manufactued in England (and warranteed for life) is truly wonderful. Available in six and twelve string steel-string as well as a new classical version, they are all easy to use, solidly built and - perhaps most importantly, easy to put on and take off with one hand without having to retune! For a musician, this is the most cricial element (especially when we are talking about 12 strings) - that, and that it is 'kind' to the materials used in the manufacture of a good guitar. I use mine on a Taylor 355 and have had no problems whatsoever. A great move toward a new generation of capos! Not cheap - but worth every cent.
