Summary: Nice kid's first guitar rig for the $$$$
Comment: I got this little rig for my 8-yr old niece at a local shop here in Boca Raton. Being a bit of a guitarist-in-training myself, I was able to get the guitar in tune and playing easily enough. The guitar is adequate for a first guitar; it actually sounds great through the little gas can amp that is included. The amp has gain and overdrive (boost) controls that allow the guitar to really sound like a "big boy" amp. Trust me, although this rig is cut down for smaller hands, it is not a toy; it plays and sounds like what it is, a real guitar hero starter kit. Plus, it was inexpensive enough that if my niece changes her mind, oh well, i can always use it as a travel guitar or something...
