Brand: Tech 21 EAN: 0837088001601 Feature: The Bass Edition features a level-compensated Tone control. Label: Tech 21 Manufacturer: Tech 21 Publisher: Tech 21 Special Features: Obese, megalithic, dynamic distortion is what itâs all about. The XXLâs Warp⢠control manipulates the structure and balance of odd and even harmonics and influences their relativity to the dynamics of your instrument and your playing style. Translation: you can achieve a variety of results, even within the same setting, depending on the manner and force of your pick attack. Originally in production from 1995-2000, some guitar players considered the XXL a little too over-the-top(!). Oddly enough, certain bass players seemed to like it just fine. So we decided to split the atom and try to make both camps happy. Studio: Tech 21

The Bass Edition features a level-compensated Tone control. At maximum itâs flat. As you go towards the mid point, it boosts the low end, compensating for the drop-out typically associated with effects not specifically voiced for bass. Decreasing from the mid point cuts highs, without changing the output level. The Bass Edition is an excellent companion to the SansAmp Bass Driver DI, especially for those times when considerably more distortion is desired. Advanced Technololgy Distortion/Overdrive for Bass

Editorial Reviews:

Tech 21?s XXL pedal originally debuted as a stomp box for guitar. However, some adventurous, high-profile bass players discovered it made an excellent companion to Tech 21?s SansAmp Bass Driver DI. The new Bass Edition features a level-compensated Tone control. At maximum it?s flat. As you go towards the mid-point, it boosts the low end, compensating for the drop-out typically associated with effects not specifically voiced for bass. Decreasing from the mid-point cuts highs, without changing the output level. The Bass Edition is still an excellent companion to the SansAmp Bass Driver DI (programmable or single channel formats), especially for those times when considerably more gain is desired. The Warp control influences the ratio of odd and even harmonics to achieve a spectrum of traditional distortion, classic tube amp overdrive, and vintage fuzz tones. Prior to the XXL?s initial introduction, no other stomp box ever provided this kind of control. Extreme settings work particularly well with individual notes, making them smoother, fatter, thicker. Oversaturating the unit causes notes to ?sag? and constrict, then dilate and enlarge. Sustaining a note will cause it to ?sing.? Measures 3.5?l x 4.5?w x 2?h in an all metal housing. Operable with an optional 9V DC power supply (Not Included), or 9V battery. Manufactured in the U.S.A.
