Summary: Great strings if you like a particular sound (see review)
Comment: I use these strings on my Spector fretless bass because they tend to give a sound that is more in the direction of an upright. It's a more mellow and less metallic sound that I find is particularly well-suited to jazz.
These strings hold up well and tend to retain their tone. I also find that they are easier on the fingers and a good value for the money. If you are looking for a more mellow sound, they are certainly worth a try.
