Customer Rating: Summary: Hard n' Heavy home action Comment: Don't expect too much, but for this money you will never find better. You can also combine with other pedals and you will find the sound you like.
That's why I give solid 4 stars to this pedal. Just go ahead... and rock it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great pedal for low budget!! Comment: I had a Behringer Tube Distortion pedal that I used to think sounded great. I paid thirty dollars for it online and it took me several months to figure out what I had been missing. Even with Ibanez cheap stock pickups, I found that, just by turning the gain knob, you go from Sweet Child O' Mine distortion to Crazy Train metal sounds. Two totally different styles of distortion and this pedal nailed them. I have used Boss pedals before and it's true that they are higher quality. But they are also about $80-$100 more. So if you are on a short supply of cash but want some great rock distortion, this is definetly your best bet.
Another little interesting thing about this pedal is that it has a blue LED light that can actually be used as effect lighting. It gives off a cool eerie glow that, while not making the pedal perform any better, adds another degree of coolness to this pedal.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Metal fix for poor musicians Comment: I use this pedal with a guitar sound on my keytar/sound module combo, and I really gott'a say, this is a GREAT pedal for its price. Although the knobs "tone" and "gain" do little for first-time musicians that want to rip out face-melters right away, once those knobs are figured out (treble-y vs. bass-y, distortion level), you have a GREAT little pedal with a LOT of power.
Just don't leave ANY cords in the input when you're done, the vampire energy it saps away will drain batteries (It runs on 9v's) quickly. Of course, if you're using a wall wart, you can chug, chang, facemelt and solo until your house runs out of power!
Customer Rating: Summary: No remorse Comment: this little thing is real cheap and for the price is very good, i have read a review complaining about that is no battery in the package but is no trouble a have a lot o rechargeables, about the radio interference there is none in my case, sure is not the best pedal in the market but it has a good sound for the price is a perfect choice for beginers, the thing that make me buy it was that you can hear it in de Dano web page if you like the sound like i did buy it, you will have no remorse.
Customer Rating: Summary: Very good relation price/quality Comment: This pedal offers a very dirty distortion, perfect to play thrash metal, but not heavy metal. I would not recomend this pedal for solo, cause high notes sound very nassal and very thin. However to play that chunky sound (i.e: metallica's kill'em all) is perfect. It has a lot of gain, but its not very vesatile, but for the price is the better out there. I have read some reviews about the low reliability, i had it like 2 months and work perfectly.
Conclusion: Very cheap and i would recomend it for beginners whose amp doesn't have too much gain to play metal stuff.
