Summary: Solid and versatile
Comment: I was needing a decent practice amp that had enough "oomph" to double as a stage monitor but did not cost a ton of money. I have only had it out of the box a day but have put it through it's paces and am pretty pleased with the sound quality, volume ("oomph") and physical design. It feels as solid as it sounds. I especially like the shaping knob that goes beyond just the EQ that let's you set the overall tone of the amp from warm tube amp-ish to bright and punchy alt. rock sound. At the price for a brand name amp such as Ampeg, this is a great value for the quality you are getting. One last thing I really dig that's hard to appreciate from the picture: it has a flat bottom but a wedge shaped back so it can be set flat on the floor (when spaces is at a premium or for practice) or it can laid back on the wedge back for use more as a stage monitor
