The signal limiting processor which varies its gain so the output signal remains constant. When combined with sensitivity control this creates infinitely clean sustain.

Comment: Compared to the vintage Dynacomp the new model seems quite weak. It doesnt have the raw power of the originals and not a lot of comp range at all. Look for an original version...

Comment: All you have to do to use this is set the maximum output level and the sensitivity and you are on your way to sweet sustained tones for lead or rhythm guitar. You can also use it to add presence to a bass guitar. This is a compressor with variable gain for constant output level. The plastic knob covers that come with it allow you to use your foot to make adjustments while playing, although this unit is more of a set in and forget it type of effects pedal. Excellent product for the price! David Gilmour or Pink Floyd and Lowell George or Little Feat use this device!
