The AC25/SR Plus features an ivoroid bound body and neck, abalone body accents, abalone Breedlove Diamond fingerboard inlays, glossy finish, a hand-rubbed neck, and gold tuners.Breedlove crafts acoustic instruments that reflect the principles of uncompromising craftsmanship, environmental consciousness, and customer focus. The best aspects of traditional guitar making are fused with new ideas and relevant technology to create instruments with unsurpassed tone, feel, and visual appeal.Each spectacular instrument in the Atlas Series is designed and engineered to attain these same qualities at an accessible price. They feature scalloped bracing, a pinless bridge, a dual-action truss rod, and the JLD Bridge Truss System. The bridge, fingerboard, and peghead overlay on each model is made from Indian rosewood and tops are crafted from solid Sitka spruce. They have an ebony end pin, dovetail neck joint, and a slightly narrower nut (1-11/16"). All models have the same low string action for fast, comfortable playing. Summary: I'm impressed !
Comment: When I was in the market for another guitar I looked at most all of the larger "name" instruments. I've been using a 64' Gibson J-45 and was looking for a guitar that would have comparable tone but in an electric/accoustic. Well, I was put onto the Breedlove AC25SR/Plus and was really impressed with the depth, tone and playability of this mid-priced guitar. It's rapidily becoming one of my favorites. I find it a bit on the "heavy" side, weightwise, but that's about my only negative. Are there better guitars? Sure, but I really don't believe you can go wrong for the price that produces this kind of sound. I've enjoyed mine immensely.

Comment: If you are looking at Martin OMs and Taylor 514-814s- you need to give this a look before you plop down 2 grand. Playability 9, Sound 9, craftsmanship 9, Quality 9. Very cool company to work with if you have questions or issues.
