The bright, long-lasting tone continues to be THE POWER STRING. Zakk uses this set when using lower than normal drop tunings. The heavier gauges on the low E string provides more tension and snaps back better at lower tunings. Gauges: 011, 014, 018, DY36, DY52, DY70

Summary: Great Low Tune
Comment: This guitar strings are really great for tunnings below C. I've tried other brands and these ones are the best for metal and last forever. I was lucky though that my tunners had a big hole to place the strings since this particular string is very thick. I own an Ibanez JEM and they fit well on the 6th string. Some calibration on the neck and the bridge had to be done to make the strings feel better. The pictures here at Amazon say Zakk Wylde and their title too, but that has changed since Zakk went to Dunlop. Now it is Heavy Weight Guitar Boomers. Great intonation, a good buy.
