This unique book provides drummers with a diverse collection of real drum charts like the ones they'll come across on gigs. Performance areas covered include big band, small group, live shows, Broadway, studio work, dance jobs and cruise ships. Each performance area is discussed in terms of responsibilities, challenges, expectations, awareness and problem areas. In addition, each piece of music is analyzed and practical performance suggestions are provided. All charts have accompaniment tracks for demonstration and/or performance. The CD provides the player with accompaniment tracks to the charts (with and without drums), enabling the drummer to hear the interpretation while seeing the original part.
